The Primitivo Way is the Way of Santiago that from Oviedo goes to Compostela by the interior of Asturias and Galicia. It owes its origin to the pilgrimage of King Alfonso II of Asturias in the 9th century, the first of which references are preserved (hence the name "Primitivo"). This road has gained in the last years a great prestige in the Jacobean world, thanks to its landscapes, its certain hardness and the still moderate influx of pilgrims.
